I created my first web site while at school at Stanford in 1995, in the days before tables and jpgs let alone cascading style sheets. My first job was as a webmaster, for a fledgling Cybersource (NASDAQ: CYBS) which owned and operated the software store software.net (later renamed beyond.com).

Currently, I manage the Department of Medicine at UCSF website as well as build web applications for them. I have over 10 years of experience building web sites, first in Perl and later in PHP.

Originally, I was a high school physics, chemistry, and physical science teacher, who incorporated computer use into all my classes. I also taught teachers how to effectively use technology in the science classroom. In the mid-90’s I became actively involved in LabNet, which was a dynamic online community of math and science teachers. I designed my first website to showcase some of our class projects and in order to share results of my students’ projects and online competitions.

Once we moved to Nevada, I decided to pursue my creative side. I am now doing website design and other small graphics projects through Case Connections LLC. In addition, I am now very active in our community’s Computer Club both as an officer and as an instructor of various computer classes.
